They are non-fungible tokens linked to real-world trees. The NFTrees generate carbon tokens that are equal to the amount of carbon their real-life counterparts remove from the atmosphere. The holders of NFTrees will start collecting $CCO2 tokens the moment the tree is planted.

Collect your $CCO2 Tokens

The holders of NFTrees wills start collecting $CCO2 tokens the moment the trees are planted and for 20 years. The amount of $CCO2 tokens received by NFTree holders will be proportional to the amount of CO2 absorbed by each real-life tree. $CCO2 tokens can be sold in the Coorest Platform or burnt for Proof of Carbon Compensation.


Proof of Carbon Compensation

A proof of carbon compensation certificate or PoCC is an NFT (ERC721) that is obtained when burning a $CCO2 token on the Coorest platform.

It is sent directly to the holder’s wallet, it contains the details about the date, the amount of CO2 compensated, the identity of the person or business compensating their carbon footprint and the reason for compensation.

The PoCC certificate guarantees the compensation of carbon emissions since the entry on the blockchain cannot be tampered.
